I have a yearning to write,
Something profound,
Just and upright,

Something that will stagger,
Knock giants around,
Completely serious,
Words that ground,

What it is,
I haven’t a clue,
This thing I must write,
That will baffle you.

So, I guess,
I will go on reading,
And write something later,
While my brain I keep feeding.
And I run from alligators…
