Featured Author Of The Week - Brandon Hale

Brandon Hale grew up in a small Virginia town. A lover of horror, sci-fi, and adventure stories, he wrote his first full length novel when he was 17. In the decades since, he has written nonstop, producing multiple novels and short stories. Brandon’s first published novel was The Gods and the Builders. Shortly after that, his second novel – Day Soldiers – was released. Since then, he has continued the Day Soldiers series, released a collection of short stories, and released a Day Soldiers “survival manual.” Brandon still lives in Virginia with his wife Laura and is still writing constantly.

Featured Author of the week, Jason Deas

Jason Deas has taught art in elementary schools for over a decade. He is a songwriter, sculptor, and makes a mean pot of chili. Most of his writing used to take place at Georgia campgrounds, inside a three-man tent or sitting at an uncomfortable concrete picnic table. He wouldn’t have had it any other way until he one day found a 70’s-model camper where he now writes in luxury. After writing Birdsongs, a mystery for adults, his nieces asked him to write a book for kids. He granted their wish and wrote Camp Timber View. He had so much fun writing it he wrote another middle grade novel titled The Big Stinky City. Jason also has two other books in the Benny James mystery series titled Pushed and Brushed Away. Jason currently finished a book in his new detective series titled Private Eye.

John Daulton is a fiction, fantasy and science fiction writer with a love for stories that take readers “somewhere else.”

Captivated as a child by J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Hobbit–read to him before a fireplace over a perfect span of winter nights–he was made forever a fan of the fantasy genre and, from that, eventually grew the desire to create magical worlds of his own.

Years passed, life doing what it does, but eventually the raw awesomeness of R.A. Salvatore’s Dark Elf Trilogy inspired him to pursue writing as something more than a hobby, including providing the motivation for him to go back to school and obtain both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in English.
