The Condor’s Feather [Kindle Edition]

Intrigue and adventure combine with a touch of romance in this unconventional story set in 1885.

With her thirst for adventure, Cynthia Beresford refuses to be constrained by the standards demanded of her by aristocratic Victorian society. She not only rides like a man, but desires other privileges enjoyed by the gentlemen of her era. Searching for excitement, she forgoes the luxuries of life at Huntingley and embarks on a riding expedition across the Pampas of Patagonia.
Though little is known of that inhospitable land, she is undeterred and boards a steamer in Liverpool bound for South America. Accompanying her on the voyage are her father and twin brother, her brother’s friend – a playwright, and her faithful Newfoundland dogs.
On the outward passage, Thia meets a mysterious Welshman, Euan Davies and when the party disembarks from the steamer on the Strait of Magellan, Davies agrees to accompany them on the ride and act as their guide. But after only a week in the saddle, his disturbing secret starts to unravel. Soon Thia’s party find themselves embroiled in a deadly game of cat and mouse with a group of dangerous prison escapees.
Beset by Indians, inhospitable terrain, pampas winds and mountain lions, is it possible this mismatched group of travellers can survive their adventure at the tail end of the world?

“The Condor’s Feather is a tale of travel and adventure replete with the sorts of events those wonderful old films always feature – the strong silent cowboy, jail breaks, bad hombres who will stop at nothing and a hint of romance. Set within the beauty of a savage and untamed landscape.” MyShelf.com

Cooking With Ghost...Yeah, I'm Into That

Captain Cooker [Kindle Edition]

Life is not easy for Cooke, a prison gladiator freed after years of incarceration when new DNA evidence proved his innocence, trying to make his way in civilized society.

He knows the ghost of his girlfriend, the one he was wrongfully convicted of murdering, is not real, but cannot make her go away. His settlement for wrongful incarceration is dwindling. His notorious past is making him a target of vigilantes who believe he may be involved in the disappearance of some teenage girls, and one of the men who originally put Cooke behind bars has followed him out to California, hoping to put him back in a cage.

He takes what appears to be a ‘charity job’ from one of the lawyers who freed him, escorting a young pretty lawyer named Valerie Murphy as she interviews witnesses for a new client. The job takes them out to the desert where Valerie and her son are abducted.

The whole thing seems senseless to Cooke, but figuring out things was never his strength, he is pretty talented at inflicting damage, so he goes with his strengths to try to save himself and the lawyer he has grown more than fond of.

The Apex Predator (The Human Chronicles Saga (Book 2 of Part 2)) [Kindle Edition]

The Apex Predator … The Latest Adam Cain Adventure.

The Human Chronicles Saga — Part Two — Book 2 of 3

In this alien universe, Humans are the Supermen – stronger, faster and more coordinated than nearly all the other aliens in the galaxy. It’s this unique concept that has made The Human Chronicles Saga one of the most-popular science fiction series on the market today. Full of exotic adventure, alien worlds, fantastic space battles and a down-to-earth sense of humor, The Chronicles are a truly unique take on the subject of Human-Alien interaction.

The Apex Predator … is the exciting continuation of the adventures of Adam Cain and his team of Human Supermen.

In this edition …

Having placed a bounty on the heads of the alien Klin and Kracori races, Humanity must now face the desperate wrath of mankind’s worst enemies, who have once again joined forces for a pre-emptive strike against the Earth. Their plan is brilliant … and only the special abilities of ex-Navy SEAL Adam Cain can save the planet.

It’s a frantic race against time, as Adam and Sherri Valentine arrive on Earth to help mount a ragtag defense against the Kracori fleet. But will it be enough?

Meanwhile, Riyad Tarazi is on his own, carrying out the dangerous assignment of verifying the location of the Kracori homeworld of Elision. Riyad soon discovers he’s in the middle of a hornet’s nest of deadly aliens, every bit the equal of the Human Supermen. Will he succeed, or will he become another casualty of a galaxy growing ever more hostile to mankind.

And the evil Englishman Nigel McCarthy is up to his old tricks as well, and his actions resurrect the sleeping giant of the Juireans. It’s the last thing the Humans need is another deadly alien race devoted to their destruction.
As with all the books in The Human Chronicles Saga, this one is full of adventure, exotic locales, strange alien races … and of course the humor that readers have come to expect in each new volume.

On the planet Earth, mankind is The Apex Predator. In the Milky Way Galaxy, we will assume the same role. After all, you can only poke the bear so long … before you get your head bitten off!
