The Whisperling: The Spirit of the Gods [Kindle Edition]
An earlier history of man reveals the Celestros, an ancient class of celestial beings as a ruling force. They reside high above the grip of horror that now covers the earth. Evil magic, necromancy and murder have become commonplace and now run rampant through the Shadowland’s. Now nothing here is as it appears. In an attempt to help the humans, the Celestros choose to embed the Spirits of the Gods into selected humans. These men and women displayed significant expanded six senses; this made them almost god-like. The demi-gods became jealous; they felt humans were too inferior for such an honorable gift.
The Celestros send Samael to stop the annihilation of the human race, but his presence, like every man, woman and child living in the Shadowlands was not welcomed.
Samael discovers members of his own Order are trying to get him removed from Celestros. Samael, now has to face conspiracy, treachery and deceit; from a group he once called his family.
The Celestros strip Samael’s powers. His fate sealed, his downfall facilitated by the shape-shifting Brothers of Blood.Samael vows revenge. The Brothers of Blood kidnap and torture Samael. They demand Samael joins them and threaten him, using his children as bait against a zombie threat. Samael is reluctant to join the traitors and he is in fact, deceived about their plan.
A Whisper-ling child befriends Samael daughter Ishira. Both Samael’s children are tricked, Nick by curiosity, Ishira by a friendly face. They are lost from their family and confined to the Darklands. The Whisperling, transformed by magic is and transported to the 21st century, where she dispenses her special kind of torment and horror to an unsuspecting human race… The world is her oyster.
Sounds like a neat story! A dark mythical story with what sounds like a well developed plot.
